India expands Fast Track Immigration e-Gate access
India’s Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme operational through e-Gates at 13 international airports for eligible Indian nationals and OCI-card holders.
India’s Fast Track Immigration–Trusted Traveller Programme is now operational through e-Gates at 13 international airports.
The programme is available, without an application fee, to eligible Indian nationals and OCI-card holders. It is intended to speed up immigration clearance at both arrivals and departures after enrolment and biometric verification.
The current e-Gate locations are Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, Lucknow, Amritsar, Calicut, Thiruvananthapuram and Trichy.
Applicants must register through the official FTI-TTP portal and complete biometric enrolment at a designated airport or FRRO office. DigiYatra registration alone is not sufficient. Participants should also note that e-Gate users are not ordinarily issued physical immigration stamps; travel information can instead be accessed through the programme portal.
For frequent business travellers, the programme is a useful facilitation measure. It does not replace immigration-compliance requirements or guarantee enrolment.
